The landowners behind plans for an industrial estate at Newtown, Graignamanagh have applied for further time to complete the development, writes Tess Felder.
Three planning applications have been submitted to Kilkenny County Council – William Connolly and Sons, Pierce Cullen, and Jim Butler – seeking an extension of duration of the permissions that were granted in 2007.
William Connolly and Sons were granted permission to construct 11 industrial units on land that was previously owned by the IDA and was purchased by the applicant in 2006, according to the planning file.
Permission was granted to Pierce Cullen to demolish a derelict house and two associated sheds and to construct an industrial unit, and permission was also granted to Jim Butler to construct one infill industrial unit.
