JJ’s back as Joyce goes to centre

KILKENNY welcome back JJ Delaney to the full back position as Brian Cody has announced his team to face Limerick on Sunday.

KILKENNY welcome back JJ Delaney to the full back position as Brian Cody has announced his team to face Limerick on Sunday.

In a major reshuffle since the Leinster Final defeat to Galway, Delaney comes in at full back and Kieran Joyce is named at centre back. Also All-Star midfield pairing Michael Rice and Michael Fennelly make therir first chsampionship starts of the year in a boost for the Cats.

The entire attack is reshuffled, with Richie Power named at centre forward and there is also the return from long term injury - Aidan Fogarty - to the starting fifteen.

The team, to play Limerick in Thurles this Sunday is David Herity; Paul Murphy, JJ Delaney, Jackie Tyrrell; Tommy Walsh, Kieran Joyce, Richie Doyle; Michael Fennelly, Michael Rice; Eoin Larkin (capt), Richie Power, Henry Shefflin; Colin Fennelly, Richie Hogan, Aidan Fogarty.

Subs Eoin Murphy, Noel Hickey, Conor Fogarty, John Tennyson, Paddy Hogan, Cillian Buckley, TJ Reid, Matthew,Ruth, Tomas Breen, Walter Walsh.
