online applications can now be submitted for Aware’s new Life Skills programme, which comes to Kilkenny at the beginning of October.
The free 90-minute per week, six-week programme called Living Life to the Full is available to people who may be struggling to deal with life’s challenges and are interested in learning new ways of coping.
The course will be given in the Fr McGrath Family Resource Centre on Mondays starting on October 8.
Living Life to the Full was developed by Dr Chris Williams, a trainer in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and professor of psychological medicine at the University of Glasgow. The programme aims to provide information and practical life skills training. Topics will include recognising and controlling unhelpful thought patterns, rebuilding self-esteem and identifying behaviours that can lead to problems.
