AS part of festivities for the upcoming Seachtain na Gaeilge, the March meeting of Kilkenny Borough Council will be a somewhat bi-lingual affair.

Councillors and other participants will be allowed to conduct their business in either English or Irish – but are encouraged to at least attempt the latter. Mayor Sean O’ hArgain confirmed the unusual format of the meeting last week.
