Another fatality on notorious stretch of road in South Kilkenny

A notorious stretch of road in south Kilkenny has claimed another life. Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating the single vehicle fatal traffic collision which occurred at Gaulstown, Glenmore, this morning at approximately 3am on the N25 road between Waterford and New Ross (approx 7km outside Waterford City).

Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating the single vehicle fatal traffic collision which occurred at Gaulstown, Glenmore, this morning at approximately 3am on the N25 road between Waterford and New Ross (approx 7km outside Waterford City).

The 22-year-old male driver who was the sole occupant was seriously injured when the car he was driving struck a ditch.

He was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination and diversions are in place.
