Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in helping to trace a man who has been missing for over a week.

Dean Roche, who is from Hebron Park was last seen in the Newpark area of the city on March 22.

Searches were conducted in the Ballyfoyle area of the county by the Garda Air Support Unit and the Garda Dog Unit last Friday with negative results. CCTV is being viewed and various lines of enquiry are being followed up.

The 31-year-old is described as being 5’ 8’’ tall of slight build with green eyes and with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a black zip up tracksuit top and bottoms with white runners.

Gardai are appealing to landlords and landowners to check any vacant properties, lands and out buildings for any sign of the missing man.

Members of the Kilkenny City Municipal District also appealed to anyone with any information to come forward and asked members of the business community with CCTV to examine recent footage.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Dean’s family at this time,” remarked Deputy Mayor, Joe Malone.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 7775000.
