Kilkenny nun killed in crash

A PRESENTATION nun from Kilkenny was killed in a collision at Clounties, Co Cork on Thursday.

A PRESENTATION nun from Kilkenny was killed in a collision at Clounties, Co Cork on Thursday.

Sister Mairead Murphy 80 years from Kilkenny died following a collision between a lorry and a car shortly after 3pm at Clounties, on the Dunmanway to Bantry Road. The deceased was the sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the lorry was removed to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries, his passenger was uninjured.
