Foróige’s Drum youth centre at MacDonagh Junction is offering activities for those aged 12-18 this summer.

The free Drop-In Café (pool table, internet, games, Wii, snacks, a place to be with your friends) is open for 12- to 14-year-olds on Wednesdays from 4.30-6.30pm and Saturdays from 2.30-4pm; and for 15- to 18-year-olds on Thursday from 4.30-6.30pm and Saturdays from 4.30-6pm.

There will be a gig on July 27 for ages 14-18. Doors will open at 7.15pm and the gig will finish at around 9.30pm. Admission is €3 on the door; and musicians playing on the night go free.

In July there will be activity weeks for young people who are moving from 6th class into first year in secondary school. Activities will include fun and games, martial arts, art and crafts, and scavenger hunts.
