Kilkenny Leader Partnership and the Kilkenny VEC are looking for people who are living or have lived in Kilkenny City to come together and share their stories and experiences of growing up in these areas. It is an opportunity to reminisce on old times and what “used to be” in places.

They are looking for people from the Newpark/ eastern environs area of the city and from Loughboy/ The Village. One member described the project as “reliving our childhood memories and not losing contact with older names that would have been there years ago.”

The project is oral based, so there is no pressure to write anything. It is a chance for people to share their stories of the past.

Anyone interested in getting involved can contact Connie McGee on 086 7718040.
