can you bake a cherry cake or are you willing to be part of an eight person team to take part in a tug-o-war team then the Iverk Show is the place for you? Regarded as one of the best outdoor events in Ireland, The Iverk Show will be held on Saturday in Piltown.
The show is Ireland’s oldest and was first run in 1826 and is now one of the top shows in Ireland. There is something for everyone and with free parking available adjacent to the Show grounds and a network of roads to get to the venue, access and egress are not a problem. Admission is kept at a reasonable level and all children are free.
The Plaza and Family/Garden Area is well worth a visit along with the Music Centre for entertainment throughout the day. The Iverk Food Hall and Small Industries Section are a major part of the Show. There is plenty of entertainment for children and KCLR will be broadcasting for the show. The RTE “Ear to the Ground” crew are also expected. This year’s Show will be opened by Liam Aylward MEP.
