Over 1,000 people in Kilkenny speak Irish daily

LATEST Central Statisitcs Office figures state that 1,005 people in Kilkenny speak Irish on a daily basis - outside the education system.

LATEST Central Statisitcs Office figures state that 1,005 people in Kilkenny speak Irish on a daily basis - outside the education system.

A total of 38,619 persons in County Kilkenny, accounting for 43% of the population aged 3 and over, indicated that they could speak Irish.

This compared to 41% for the State as a whole.
