The Longest Day is Friday, June 21 and to mark the occasion our editorial team will be busy around the city and county, viedoing events, people and places to compile a video of of The Longest Day here in Kilkenny.
And you too can take part.
Send us your video clips - email@example.com of the day and we’ll put them on line.
It’s all part of our Summer of Love campaign which is running throughout June.
Over the past few weeks, The Kilkenny People has been asking readers to spend their money locally. And we have been supporting local business with incredible advertisng rates both in print and online.
Now we’re focusing on all that’s good in our community in a unique project timed to coincide with the Longest Day on Friday.
Our picture shows Knockroe megalithic tomb, just outside Piltown and near Windgap in the south of the county.
This ancient site was where our ancestors gathered to celebrate such occasions as The Longest Day. You can use Knockroe as your inspiration - but remember short clips of what is going on in your area would be great.
You can take the clips on your mobile phone and send them in to firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll feature as many as we can on our website at www.kilkennypeople.ie and you can also follow what we’re up to on Twitter using the hashtag #longestlocalday.
For those business who haven’t advertised with us for a while, the Summer of Love campaign runs throughout June. To take advantage of our offers, call (056) 7721015 or email email@example.com
