A number of amendments have been made to the draft Kilkenny County and City Development Plans, which go on display this Friday for a four-week period.

The elected representatives of both the borough and county council have considered the manager’s report on submissions received to the draft plans, published in November 2013. At the joint meeting of the councils on January 28, it was decided to make a number of different amendments to the draft plans.

The proposed amendments relate to issues such as the zoning of land.

They will be published and will remain on public display for the next four weeks. Submissions can be made by members of the public, but they must only relate to the proposed amendments at this time.

This will be the final opportunity to make a submission in relation to the content of the draft plans before they are adopted by the councils in May later this year. The plans cover the period 2014-2020.
