We’re a week into the New Year and a number of scheduled competitions have already gone to the wall, as heavy rain, sleet and snow swept across Kilkenny in the last few days. Low temperatures forecast for the rest of the week means a resumption of golf is unlikely in the coming days.

The Senior Ladies Society’s first outing of 2025 is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday), weather permitting. The planned date for the Senior Ladies’ annual meeting is Thursday, January 16, with time to be confirmed next week.

Nollaig na Mban Lunch
Lady Captain Noreen Curry hosted a very enjoyable lunch on Saturday. Thirty-one ladies joined her for festive camaraderie and fun in the foxglade clubhouse restaurant.
The Lady Captain organised and ran a raffle, proceeds of which will go to the club. Winner of first prize was Helen H Murphy. The ladies Winter League and lamb competition are in progress.
