ICYMI: Kilkenny hurling legend swaps the small ball for the rugby ball

Eight-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny, Eoin Larkin has made his competitive debut for Kilkenny...

This time though, it wasn't a hurl and sliotar in his hand; it was a rugby ball as he lined out for the Kilkenny RFC's third team.

The local team, based in Foulkstown on the Waterford Road, hosted Montclair Rugby Football Club from New Jersey.

"Made my rugby debut for Kilkenny against a strong touring side from the States," the former Hurler of the Year posted on social media.

"A mixture of young and old lined out," he said, adding, "first game of hopefully some more to come."
