Butler House invites guests to slow down and experience Kilkenny at a gentler pace with two new experiences

Historic guesthouse Butler House, known for its intimate atmosphere and relaxed comfort, invites guests to slow down and experience Kilkenny at a gentler pace with two new experiences.

This season, two new curated packages have been introduced for guests who value comfort, character, and quiet moments.

Supper and Slumber

The Supper and Slumber package is designed for relaxed evenings and restful nights, inviting guests to arrive, unwind and let the house settle around them.

This experience includes a relaxed evening supper from the evening menu in the Garden View Room, a peaceful night’s sleep and a leisurely artisan breakfast the following morning at the Lady Eleanor Restaurant.

Wednesday Wellness

Wednesday Wellness package offers a gentle midweek pause designed to restore balance and calm.

Guests arrive on Tuesday and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Butler House & Garden, with time to wander Kilkenny Castle and Parklands, explore the Castle Yard craft studios, or stroll the Medieval Mile. Wednesday morning begins with a grounding yoga class with Koru Wellness in Kilkenny Castle Yard, followed by a relaxed Irish breakfast in the Lady Eleanor Restaurant.

Both experiences reflect Butler House’s philosophy of creating a space for guests to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy Kilkenny more meaningfully, all while staying in an 18th century dower house of Kilkenny Castle, built for Lady Eleanor Butler by Walter, 16th Earl of Ormonde. Tucked quietly beside Kilkenny Castle, the unique setting offers a rare balance of seclusion and connection, providing guests with both tranquillity and richness in equal measure.
