Cllr Ger Frisby and Cllr Jenny Catt Slattery
Fianna Fáil councillors Ger Frisby (Cathaoirleach) and Jenny Catt Slattery (Leas Cathaoirleach) have been elected at today's meeting of the elected officials of Piltown Municipal District.
It will be Ger Frisby's second year in-a-row as Cathaoirleach of Piltown MD, and will be newly-elected Jenny Catt Slattery's first term serving in either position.
Cllr Frisby was nominated to retain his position as Cathaoirleach by Cllr Pat Dunphy (Fine Gael) and his nomination was seconded by Cllr Jenny Catt Slattery.
Going forward, the monthly meetings of Piltown MD are scheduled to take place at 2pm on the first Wednesday of each month in Ferrybank Library, County Kilkenny.
Both Cllr Frisby and Cllr Catt Slattery thanked fellow elected members for putting them forward and expressed their enthusiasm to get down to work in Piltown MD.
