Fencing has been vandalised along the scenic River Nore Valley Walk in Kilkenny.

Nore View House, who are based alongside the walk, shared the news and a picture of some of the damage on social media earlier today.

"This fencing and signage is for walkers' protection along parts of the walk that become overgrown and bring you close to the waters' edge," they stated.

"Unfortunately behaviour like this jeopardises the whole project for health, safety and insurance reasons."

Nore View House made the point that the fencing was 'funded and installed by the brilliant and hard working people involved in the LEADER project' who, along with themselves, try to maintain this beautiful walk for all to enjoy.

If you have any information in relation to the vandalism committed, please contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 775 4150.
