A previous run of the Kilkenny College Tractor Run
The annual Kilkenny College Transition Year Tractor Run takes place on Thursday, April 27.
This will be the 11th run of the Kilkenny College event. It will depart JVW Transport in Gowran at 18:30hrs and arrive in Kilkenny College around 7.45pm.
The route will be along the N10 into the Dublin Road roundabout before taking right down the ring road onto the N78 where the students will take a left along the Castlecomer Road and into the College at R95CF61.
Around 40 students from fourth, fifth, and sixth year will be driving tractors in the convoy.
This year’s nominated charity is Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre. Cois Nore is a charity serving Kilkenny providing free, confidential support to people of all ages affected by cancer and their families to enable them to live well with their diagnosis.
This year will see the awarding of the Kilkenny College Tractor Run Hegarty Perpetual Cup. The judging committee will be Brian Harris, William Hutchinson, Bryan Daniels, and Robin Wallace.
