An urgent hen appeal has been issued by LittleHill Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, who will be doing a hen run in Kilkenny on Sunday, June 18 - and they are hoping local people will reach out and adopt some hens!
Here are some of their rules and how to get in touch with them:
1) "Please private message on Facebook ONLY (via their LittleHill Animal Rescue & Sanctuary page) with your number of hens, collection point and your phone number (Comments may NOT be seen).
2) Adopt fees apply.
3) Please bring adequate transport carriers - one cat carrier per two hens. IF (you have) cardboard boxes WITH LOTS OF AIRHOLES , Dog Crates are best!
4) Check Dept of Agriculture website for current regulations."
