Major change announced for NCT
A major change has been announced for payment policy for an NCT that will impact people in Kilkenny and across Ireland.
Over the coming months, it will no longer be possible to pay in cash for an NCT and drivers will now have to pay in full in advance for their test.
It was stated that the decision was been taken for safety and convenience with drivers only being able to pay by card or by postal order.
Among those to hit out at the decision were Kilkenny-Carlow TD, Kathleen Funchion (SF).
