TROLLEY WATCH: St Luke's General Hospital sees trolley figures decrease

There are three patients on trolleys and a further four patients waiting on the wards at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny, according to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

Today's statistics mark the hospital's lowest trolley and ward waiting time numbers this week.

Tuesday provided the highest count, with 11 patients on trolleys and eight people waiting on the ward. 

Nationally today, there are 442 admitted patients who are waiting for beds, 313 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 129 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
