Port of Waterford
Port of Waterford have been refused planning permission for a new laydown/transportation yard to facilitate the storage of shipping containers.
The yard was planned for a site at Gorteens, Slieverue, County Kilkenny.
Also planned was a container repair area, parking for articulated truck trailers, a safe zone in which hauliers can pull covers on bulk trailers, site lighting, ancillary office accommodation, welfare facilities and associated site works.
The decision to refuse planning permission was made by Kilkenny County Council on October 5.
