Sharp rise in patients on trolleys at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny

30 patients are on trolleys today compared to two on Monday

Thirty patients are on trolleys at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny according to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Nationally 557 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

402 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 155 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

This is a sharp rise in patients on trolleys at the hospital. On Monday the IMNO reported just two patients waiting for a bed at St Luke's Hospital.
