Cillian Buckley celebrates after the Cats' dramatic Leinster Final win over Galway
As the local championships draw to a close, Kilkenny supporters can begin marking their diaries ahead of the 2024 inter-county season.
Kilkenny begin the defence of their Leinster crown at home to Antrim on the weekend of April 20/21, the pick of the matches for the stripey men takes place just a week later as Derek Lyng's team travel west to face Galway in a repeat of last year's provincial final, while the Cats round off the round robin series against Wexford in UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday, May 25.
The 2024 season will also see the Leinster and Munster Hurling Finals reverted back to different days. The Leinster Final is set for Saturday, June 8, with the Munster Final scheduled for the following afternoon.
