Kilkenny County Council recently impounded two horses from the Ahenure area of Callan, County Kilkenny.

One is a four-year-old chestnut female (ten hands) and the other is a seven-year-old black female (10 hands).

The four-year-old was previously microchipped but the seven-year-old wasn't.

Should these animals remain unclaimed after Monday (November 27), they will be 'rehomed/sold/disposed as appropriate', in line with the Control of Horses Act (1996).
