The magic of recent years of thousands of seeing starlings flying in great formations in perfect unison has returned around Knockeen in County Kilkenny.
A rare sight in the country, it takes place approaching dusk.
They do this before roosting in the wood on the high ground that provides a viewing point against the evening sky.
