Preferred N24 transport solution to be displayed soon in Kilkenny

The N24 Waterford to Cahir project (via South Kilkenny) is currently at options selection phase.

A systematic assessment of the identified options has been undertaken in line with Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s project guidelines in order to select a preferred transport solution for the project.

This will include four in-person public displays as follows:
1) Cahir House Hotel (Tuesday, January 23)
2) Talbot Hotel, Clonmel (Wednesday, January 24)
3) Mooncoin Community Hall (Thursday, January 25)
4) Carraig Hotel, Carrick-on-Suir (Friday, January 26)

There will be further opportunity for landowners or reputed landowners whose property lies within the corridor of the preferred transport solution to meet with the project team in the two weeks following these in-person displays (up until February 9).

Landowners who were previously notified that they were in an option corridor will be notified in advance by letter of the dates and venues for these events.

The landowners who are within the corridor of the preferred transport solution will separately receive a further notification letter.

Elected members of both Kilkenny and Tipperary County Councils are set to hold an online briefing this coming Friday.

The section of the N24 being considered by this project is approximately 60km in length.

It extends from the M8 north of Cahir to the southern terminal of the M9 motorway at the Quarry Roundabout in County Kilkenny.
