Creanross Limited have been granted planning permission from Kilkenny County Council to construct thirty housing units on a site at Grenan, Thomastown, County Kilkenny.
As part of their application, twenty-two two-story semi-detached and terraced housing units are planned as well as eight apartments within two two-storey apartment blocks, each containing two apartments at ground-floor level and two at first-floor level.
A new site entrance layout from the adjoining Mallfield is envisaged as well as new boundary treatments and landscaping.
The application was submitted back in February of 2023 and was subject to a period of further consultation with the local authority, who requested information on eleven aspects of the plans.
Permission was subsequently granted, subject to 32 conditions, on February 12, 2024.
The applicant previously sought permission to construct housing on the site with a separate application but were refused by Kilkenny County Council before having their subsequent appeal dismissed by An Bord Pleanála.
