Maureen Mullins, mother of Kilkenny racehorse trainer Willie Mullins, has passed away peacefully at home in Goresbridge, County Kilkenny. Maureen passed away aged ninety-four following a short illness.
The Mullins name is well-known in Irish racing and Maureen was a familiar face at the racing tracks in Ireland and the UK, attending Cheltenham Festival many times.
Maureen, predeceased by her late husband Paddy, will be sadly missed by her daughter Sandra, four sons Willie, Tony, Tom, and George, and grandchildren David, Danny and Patrick Mullins.
Tributes continue to flood in for Maureen.
Her grandson Danny Mullins posted on social media platform X: 'What a woman, such an inspiration. RIP.'
