Billy’s Tearooms in Ballyhale are now closed until further notice, according to signage placed on the entrance doors.
It is not yet clear why but it is hoped that this vital community hub will be able to reopen soon as it serves as both a shop and café.
It is also a meeting place, a source of employment and a source of work experience for local people as well as a tourist site for visitors.
In an online statement, the committee behind the tearooms said: "We regret to inform customers of Billy's Tearooms, that due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have to close in the short term.
