Sixteen cruise ships are expected to berth this year at Belview Port in County Kilkenny.

The MS Amadea, MS Maud, MS Nautica and the 210.5-metre-long Seabourn Ovation are amongst the ships expected to dock in the county.

Belview Port (who operate as 'Port of Waterford') stated that the port is 'passionate about growing and promoting tourism in the area to help promote awareness for the area and bring vital business to our local economy'.

"We’re a member of Cruise Ireland and we work closely with local and regional partners to ensure that every visitor that comes to the South-East has an unforgettable experience," they added.

In total, nearly 30 cruise ships are expected, so far, to visit the South-East region this year (the remainder of the vessels berthing at Dunmore East).
