Gardaí in Kilkenny have taken to social media to highlight a recent incident of speeding by a driver on the county's roads.
The roads policing unit detected a driver doing 103 km/h in a 50 km/h zone, more than twice the legal speed limit!
A fixed charge penalty notice was issued to the offending motorist.
In their post on social media following the incident, gardaí posed the following question to followers: "What's the difference between a lion waiting in the long grass and a roads policing vehicle behind a shrubbery?"
To which they answered: "The lion preys on the slowest of the herd, the roads policing the fastest."
