Plans granted for extension to hotel in Kilkenny

Spring Hospitality Limited have been granted planning permission, subject to conditions, for development works at The Hoban Hotel, Ring Road, Springhill, Kilkenny, R95 XV2D.

Plans originally submitted to Kilkenny County Council sought:

1) The demolition of existing staircore area at north of the existing hotel building;

2) Demolition of part of rear wall and external basement access stairs at south-west of hotel building at the existing hotel kitchens/ancillary areas;

3) Construction of new two-storey extension to the north of the existing hotel with 20 hotel bedrooms and associated circulation and ancillary areas;

4) Construction of new single storey extension to the south-west of the existing hotel with additional kitchen and ancillary/service areas;

5) Construction of all consequent internal and external alterations;

6) Installation of new external bicycle parking facilities;

7) Installation of new electric vehicle charging points to existing car park;

8) All ancillary site development and services works.

Permission was granted, subject to nine conditions, on July 23, 2024.
