Man dies following collision with motorcycle in South Kilkenny

 Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision in Mooncoin to contact them

Garda investigators appeal for witnesses to the collision

A man aged in his 80s, who was taken hospital after a collision with a motorcycle in South Kilkenny almost two weeks ago, has since died in hospital.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the serious road traffic collision that occurred in Mooncoin, Kilkenny, on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

At approximately 7.30pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian on the N24 in Mooncoin village. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users or pedestrians who were in Mooncoin village at the time or travelling through on the N24 between 7pm and 8pm and have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
