Plans from Moonshell Ltd (trading as Store4U) seeking to develop a self-storage facility at Hebron Business Park in Kilkenny have been approved by An Bord Pleanála.

The applicant orginally submitted plans to the local authority to develop a site to accommodate 84 containers for self-storage purposes and provide ten parking spaces.

Also sought was permission for the replacement of the existing entrance gate with an electric gate controlling access to the site and the provision of signage and all associated site works for a period of ten years.

Planning permission was granted by Kilkenny County Council, subject to numerous conditions, but that decision was then appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

The Board granted permission, with revised conditions, on September 27.
