Gardaí in Kilkenny have taken to social media to highlight an incident that occurred recently between a pedestrian and a motorist.
"One of our lads was dispatched to drop in a high visibility vest to a lady living close to the station," a garda spokesperson explained.
"She had contacted us following a fright she got during the week when a jeep, driving quickly off a roundabout, only saw her at the last moment and thankfully took evasive action.

"But, driving in a built up area, especially one governed by a 30km/h limit, you need as a motorist to drive within the scope of your vision.
"The driver on this occasion was apparently less than courteous and may think manners are big houses in the country.
"Please remember when you're in your comfy big vehicles that our pedestrians have no airbags or crumple zones.
"Also remember that many of us are not in our first flush of youth and may not be as nimble as we once were."
