Gardaí in Kilkenny seized a Nissan Note from an unaccompanied learner driver earlier today (Saturday, January 4).
Following the seizure, they took to social media to share the following: "More than 80% of learner drivers involved in fatal crashes since 2016 were driving unaccompanied. A startling statistic."

Following up that statistic, gardaí were keen to stress that it is 'not a revenue making activity'.
"We're just trying to avoid knocking on doors delivering bad news," they concluded.
