Thousands of people are currently without power in freezing conditions across Kilkenny, according to ESB Networks.
In Ballyhale approximately 874 customers are without power, in Ballyragget there are currently over 2,000 customers without power and in Castlecomer there are currently 1375 people without power.
Other smaller areas such as Coon (17) are also impacted.

Below are some estimated power restoration times:
Ballyragget estimated restore time - 8/9pm
Ballyhale estimated restore time - 9.45pm
Coon estimated restore time - 9.30pm
Those impacted have been given the following message from ESB Networks: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
