The Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit of An Garda Síochana arrested a driver of an artic truck last night (Tuesday) after failing a roadside test for cannabis.

The introduction of garda roadside drug testing began in April 2017 and prior to the law, a garda had to have a specific reason to stop an individual under suspicion of driving under the influence of an illicit drug before they could take further action.
