People in Kilkenny and surrounding areas are being encouraged to lace up their running shoes for a great cause as the Kilkenny Park Fun Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, March 9.
The event, a 5km run or walk, will start at 11am, with registration open to adults (€10) and children under 16 (€5).
Participants can also join in fancy dress, adding a fun and festive feel to the day.
The event is being organised in aid of Kilkenny Helping the Homeless & Supporting Those in Need Kilkenny, a charity working to assist vulnerable individuals.

"Every participant makes a difference," explained organiser, Mary Pierce.
Interested participants can register in advance by contacting Mary Pierce on Revolut (0857075348) using the reference "FUNRUN" plus your name.
Alternatively, registration and payment can be made on the day at the castle gates with event stewards.
