RIP: Tragic Garda update as body found in search for missing Kilkenny woman
Gardaí have issued a tragic update after the discovery of a mother in a search for a missing woman in Kilkenny.
Gardaí said: "Following the discovery of woman’s body in Co Kilkenny, the missing person appeal for Katherine Norris (67) who was reported missing from her home in Kilkenny city on Friday, February 7, 2025, has been stood down."
The gardaí went on to say: "We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance."
Katherine Norris had been the subject of a widespread community effort after going missing seven weeks ago. At one point, gardaí told people in Kilkenny to check their sheds and outbuildings in a bid to find the missing pensioner.
