Kilkenny gardaí have erected a new department today (Tuesday, April 1), proving anything is 'paw-sible'.
"Kilkenny gardai are excited about a new initiative involving our four legged members. The Undercover K9 Unit will be used in various sting operations," they posted to social media.
"While they will often work alone, they are easily identified by a beanie cap which is standard operational uniform.
"Pictured below is 'Snooper'. If you meet him on your travels, don't give him treats as he associates them with positive detections," they added.

"Happy April 1st from your friends in Kilkenny Garda Station."
The tongue in cheek garda post, gained plenty of traction online with one person commenting, "if I put a hat on my dog, will she be charged with impersonating a Garda?," while another commenter, said, "he's like something off love/hate… fits right in."
