Suir Shipping Limited has submitted a planning application to extend the existing access road servicing lands at Belview Port, located in Gorteens and Drumdowney Upper, County Kilkenny.
The proposed development includes the continuation of the current service road, the construction of a new clear span bridge, installation of ancillary service connections, landscaping, and associated site works.
Located near Waterford City, but within County Kilkenny, Belview Port is a key hub for import and export activity in the region.

It benefits from strong transport links, including road and rail access, making it a strategic point for commercial development.
A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared to accompany the application, which was received by the planning authority on May 12, 2025. A decision on the application is due by July 6, 2025.
