Members of the Balkan community here in Kilkenny recently organised a party in the Home Rule Club where they celebrated their cultures, and welcomed others to join in the fun.

One of the organisers, Zana Elez, explained that the event served as ‘an opportunity to celebrate culture, connect with the community, and experience a slice of the Balkans right here in Ireland’.

Zana stated that events like these help to solidify the relationships between people living locally from different Balkan countries, as well as giving locals and those from other countries an opportunity to sample their culture and traditions.
