The Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan visited Kilkenny on Monday to hold a number of talks with garda representatives.
The Fianna Fáil representative also made a pit stop at Thomastown Garda Station.
"The Minister was given a tour of the station by Chief Superintendent Anthony Pettit and Superintendent Sean O’Meara where he met and spoke with some of our Garda members," a garda spokesperson posted to social media.
"The Minister also visited Thomastown Garda Station today. Cllr Deirdre Cullen was also in attendance and they met with the working members there."
