The apprenticeship launch at Carlow Institute of Further Education
Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB), in partnership with Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI), officially launched its new Accounting Technician Apprenticeship at an event held on Monday at Carlow Institute of Further Education and Training.
The launch brought together programme employers and mentors, representatives from Accounting Technicians Ireland and apprentices, with members of the KCETB Executive Team, senior management, teaching staff and senior training advisors.
The event celebrated the beginning of an exciting new opportunity for apprentices and employers across Carlow, Kilkenny and the wider South East region.
Seventeen apprentices from companies across Carlow and Kilkenny began the programme in September. Over the next two years, they will study one day per week at Carlow Institute while gaining hands-on experience with their employers, earning while they learn and building the foundations for a professional career in accounting.
