Two people have been taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening following a crash between the Lime Tree and Ballymack Cross on the N76 outside Callan shortly after 1.30am.
The road was closed for a time but Kilkenny Live understands the route has since re-opened.
Elsewhere last night, responded to a road traffic collision on the College Road in the city.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
