Kilkenny LEADER Partnership’s (KLP) 25/26 Integration Project has received €50,000 in funding for integration projects, something which has been praised by Fine Gael TD for Carlow/Kilkenny, Catherine Callaghan.
Deputy Callaghan said the Integration Fund helps enable community organisations across Ireland to play a greater role in promoting the integration of migrants.
“I am delighted to see this funding for Kilkenny. The work of these groups deserves to be recognised and commended. The Integration Fund recognises that migration impacts communities, and we should work together to make our society stronger and more cohesive.”
“Across the country, 117 community-based projects are set to receive €3.6m in funding under the 2025 Integration Fund. These projects work hard to welcome new arrivals in a way that works with and for those arriving and the communities welcoming them”.
“In particular, I’m happy to see funding for Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, who work tirelessly to promote further integration into the community. I would like to commend the hard work of all the local organisations and volunteers involved,” she added.

The organisation is a community-led non-profit with nearly 30 years of experience in community development, through a wide range of services including training, employment supports, grants and advice.
KLP has been at the forefront of driving local development and improving the economic, social and cultural quality of life for the people, communities and small enterprises of County Kilkenny.
“I am pleased to see such wonderful and deserving projects right across Carlow and Kilkenny receiving this funding. It’s only through cooperation from our community that we can improve integration and make Ireland a better country to live in for everyone,” Deputy Callaghan concluded.
