Local Fianna Fáil TD Peter 'Chap' Cleere has slammed the blight of illegal dumping in the locality.
"I've had numerous representations right across Carlow and Kilkenny of examples," Deputy Cleere said.
"I'm passionate about rural Ireland but when you consider the amount of work community groups and Tidy Towns do to make our villages, town and rural areas absolutely spotless, this is a kick in the face to those people.

"Illegal dumping is blighting towns, villages and rural areas across the constituency," he continued.
"Community groups and Tidy Towns work tirelessly to keep areas clean - fly-tipping undermines all of that effort. It’s unacceptable and it must stop," the local TD added.
